Owen, Daddy... and fiiiiishes!!

Owen and his father Rob crossed Coral Sea from Australia to fish with us! Both father and son were very excited to hunt caledonian fishes and Owen proved to be an absolute lure fishing enthusiast!!

This young fisherman teased king mackerels successfully and it has been a pleasure to see him all smiles with his first catch!!

Daddy had very serious bites too, one of which was a very big king mack'... mercilessly stolen by enormous shark!! Even 130lbs popping rod with extreme drag tuning, and extreme fisherman tuning too (!!),  were not enough to stop that fantastic predator.... sorry Rob!!

After warm-up with kingies, Owen was ready for GT popping!

Ok boy, now let's talk about serious business!! Casting, popping, casting, popp' fiiiish!! Strike, strike again... after terrible fight on 50lbs line, owen landed his very first GT!! Everyone onboard Nivaala could feel our young popperman's emotion....

Rob hooked again a big fish, but lost it during hard fight... There is no doubt this GT was over 70lbs... Damn...!!

This fishing session looked like a resounding victory for Owen!!
