Christmas Dogtooth Tuna!!

Luc and Paul spent several days with us, both on western coast and northern lagoon areas. Luc is a worldwide GT hunter, and offered his son Paul his first fishing trip for Christmas! What a challenge for Paul who never fished such formidable fishes before...

Our young fisherman soon turned out to be talentuous, and both son and dad enjoyed that family challenge!!

That GT is not Paul's personal best... he lost a 35 kgs one after huge fight (line failure, fight was over with fish along the boat... what a pity!)...

... and a nice one caught on popper by Luc!

After his father missed several HUGE doggies, Paul finally took it all with the fish of the trip :

Dogtooth Tuna, 146cms, 45 kgs!!! Stickbait rigged with two barbless single hooks : that was a perfect fight Paul!!

Paul, you set the bar very high for that first fishing trip to say the least!!

Luc, you can be proud of your son!! Paul, that's a great great fish you caught...
